Edit PDF Files Online — Free, Private, No Upload
Need to add text to a PDF? Drop in a signature? Fix a typo on a form? PeacefulPDF's editor handles all of it directly in your browser. No Adobe subscription, no file uploads, no account.
The editor loads your PDF and renders it on a canvas. You can add text anywhere on the page, position it precisely, and download the modified PDF. It uses pdf-lib under the hood, which means the edits are embedded directly into the PDF structure — not just overlaid as an image.
This is particularly useful for filling out forms that aren't fillable, adding notes to documents before sharing, or making quick corrections. And since everything runs locally, you can safely edit sensitive documents like tax forms, medical paperwork, or contracts.

FAQ
Can I edit existing text in a PDF?
You can add new text on top of existing content. Directly modifying embedded text in PDFs is extremely complex and not supported in browser-based tools. For that, you'd need to convert to Word first.
Can I add images to my PDF?
The text tool is the primary editing feature right now. For image-based additions like signatures, check our Sign PDF tool.
Does editing change the original file?
No. Your original PDF is untouched. When you click "Apply Changes & Download," a new modified copy is created and downloaded.
